Thoughts For Today – Nothing New Under The Sun

I just love reading Psalms so many wonderful truths we can glean, Don’t think it a strange thing when people who you thought were with you and for you were actually not, there is nothing new under the sun. God covers every area of Life as we see in the scriptures the good the bad and ugly, Our focus is always on God and that which is good.

We can see how God’s People dealt with different and difficult situations and people and how when they turned to God in uncertain times, God was the one that helped them, and directed them and delivered them and gave them the answers they needed.  We can have a certain confidence with people but our complete trust is God, It says In Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.  Our Trust is in God only.

I was inspired to read through Psalms this morning and ended up looking up some of these Scriptures which are a great blessing. It reminded me we are to guard our hearts with all diligence Proverbs 4:23 and in verse 24 the wisdom of God is to watch our mouths and Verse 25 shows us to keep our focus on God Verse 26 encourages to consider our ways.

Here are some records that encourages us to Guard our hearts and to keep our eyes and trust in and on God only. Our help comes from Jehovah. God would have us wise as serpents and harmless and doves Matthew 10:16. Jesus said to his disciples in Luke 10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

God works in His people to bring the Gospel of Christ to others, healing, deliverance, and great encouragement. We also know that ALL scripture is God breathed and is profitable. In the Scriptures below we can see the Psalmist telling of His betrayal, We know Judas one of Jesus 12 disciples and close companion also betrayed our Lord, we also know Joseph was betrayed by His brothers. Samson betrayed by his lover. we also see the ones that Job loved turn’t against Him, and we also see this happen in the life of Paul, who he warned every man. We also know that satan uses people to do his dirty work, and one of those works is to hinder the purpose of God. and one of the ways are other people. Pauls thorn in the flesh were people right.

We are not to be afraid or suspicious of others, but we are to be wise and walk with God using the spiritual ability He has given in us to discern different people, and different situation that present themselves before us. remember we are to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. and when God is first in our lives He will reveal to us what we need know.

Psalms 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
Psalms 41:10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
Psalms 41:11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
Psalms 41:12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
Psalms 41:13 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Psalms 55:12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
Psalms 55:13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
Psalms 55:14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
Psalms 55:20 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
Psalms 55:21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Job 19:19 All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.

Galatians 2:4  And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

Galatians 3:1  O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Galatians 3:2  This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Galatians 3:3  Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Galatians 5:7  Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
Galatians 5:8  This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

Galatians 5:9  A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Galatians 5:10  I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

Acts 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Acts 20:29  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Acts 20:30  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Acts 20:31  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Acts 20:32  And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

2 Peter 2:1  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Peter 2:2  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
2 Peter 2:3  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

As we keep our focus on God, and knowing who we are in Christ, and as we are led by the spirit God, God can reveal to you the pit fall’s, and certain people and situations to avoid, God wants us wise and that we walk circumspectly. God is always at work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. We are to walk wisely and also in love, when we decide to keep God first, he can make us aware and sharp we have the gift of holy spirit and God can and will reveal to you by word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirit, as you listen to His still small voice, pay attention to what God is showing you. and remember you are the lights of this world,

Much Love
