Be Strong in Fellowship, Be Strong in the House of God – By Laurence Torr

Be Strong in Fellowship, Be Strong in the house of God
grace love and truth logo
God morning to You. Do things seem stale in your walk and fellowship?
Here are some things to encourage you and consider this was on my heart to share, so I know it will bless someone out there.
If this post encourages just one believer then I rejoice for that one believer.
If we are going to Be strong believers we need to have regular fellowship
with God and with the believing believers. What is a believing Believer.
A believing believer is someone who not only knows the scriptures but
is practising what they are learning, growing strong daily with God and in their fellowship with other believers. who are not talking about others and criticizing other believers on how they do things.
They seek council from God through Prayer and reading of the scriptures
and fellow shipping with other like minded believer, they apply what they are
learning, and share what they are learning with others, weather that is believers or those who do not yet believe.
When things go stale in our walk, it maybe that we are letting the things of this world have the priority over the things of God in our lives. or maybe we are listening to the wrong people. which brings our faith levels down.
Have a think about what your listening to, are the things your listening to building faith in your heart? are the people you fellowship with building you up and encouraging you? are you sharing your heart with those that can build your faith, and help you in the right direct with your walk with God.
God design us to have fellowship with Him and His son Jesus Christ and with one another, God never wants His Children to try and make it on their own, No lone rangers.
If you find your walk is stale ask yourself who am hanging out with, who is adding to my life and speaking truth to me, am I fellowshipping and being built up on regular basis, and I putting into practice what I know and what I am learning? or do I just know loads of scripture and do nothing with it?
do I believe what the world promotes and says above what God says.
Do I think I am spiritual because I know scriptures and can teach the word?
see it is not what you know that makes you that strong believer. it is what you know and live and the truth you practise in your life.
are you forgiving? are loving? are you giving? are you looking to encouraging others? do you deny yourself to bless others. do you think your better than other believers? do you judge other believers in a criticizing way,
thinking your better than them?
ask your self some of these question answer honestly to yourself then you will see why your walk with in the household of God might be stale.
God loves you and has called you to live your life before Him in a relationship with Him. If we are truly having a relationship with God and His son then we will want to be with other believers.
Now none of us has everything right, none of us are perfect, you will find
all kind of flaws in any believer. that is why it is important to fellowship with one another to help each other grow, Iron sharpens Iron the Bible says, it is a blessing to the heart of God when we fellowship with one another in unity and love.
Please read the article below, you may have read it before.
Its my heart to encourage you to not only grow with God but also to grow within the household of God the believers that freely make themselves available to fellowship.
Lets make up our minds to be strong in the Lord, strong in fellow shipping, strong in serving, strong in giving, strong in loving, strong in practising the truths we are learning, strong in helping one another.
You will never make it on your own that is for sure, when it is available to be with other believers endeavouring to live the life that God has to all those who desire it.
Have a blessed day. love you all

The 5 Vital signs of a Believer.
1. Read and study the Word of God
2. Praying and speaking in Tongues
3. Fellowshipping with Like minded believers
4. Financial Giving
5. Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ (witnessing)
The 5 Vital signs of believer are a must for all believers to sustain a healthy and strong spiritual relationship and walk with God. Let us take a look at the first Vital sign ask yourself am I strong in this part of my walk? we can listen to audio or video teachings and others forms of receiving God words but nothing can top your own personal reading and studying of the holy scriptures. We will look at the scriptures now and let’s see what God has to say to us by His word. here is a look at the first Vital Sign.
1. Read and study the Word of God
2 Timothy 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I also like the International Standard Version of this scripture which says
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision.
To study the word of God you first have to read Gods word, and Gods wants us to understand what He is saying to Us. Not someone else’s revelation of what God is saying. This word of God is a personal Word to you as well as the Body of Christ. when you open the scriptures it is like opening the heart of God and seeing what He wants us to see.
The word “Study” is the Greek word spoudazō which means to (use speed, that is, to make effort, be prompt or earnest: – do (give) diligence, be diligent (forward), endeavour, labour, study)
God wants us to expand a diligent effort in study and rightly dividing His word of Truth but remembering the time goes quickly and we also need to preach the word and be ready to give an answer to everyman that ask you for a reason of the hope that is in you (1Peter 3:15) so we can be witnesses to the truth. when reading the word of God we should do it with joy and an expectation of what God is saying and showing us by the word of God. here is a wonderful example from the word of God of this.
Jeremiah 15:16, Thy words were found, and I did eat (consume) them; and thy word was unto me the joy (gladness) and rejoicing (pleasure) of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. When Jeremiah found Gods word He found spiritual food, he consumes these word and kept them in his heart and the word of God was the joy and gladness and pleasure of his heart. This word of God is alive and living (Hebrews 4:12)
When that word of God is the joy and rejoicing of your heart you cannot help but share it with others, it will become to those that hear you and believe you the joy and rejoicing of their hearts, when that word of God is burning in your heart you cannot help but share it with others. Let us look at the record of the master teacher our Lord Jesus Christ sharing Gods word. This is after our Lord had been risen from the dead, and while he was still here on earth showing himself to his disciples.
Luke 24:13-35
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. 17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? 18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? 19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: 20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. 21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. 22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not. 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
verse 19, says Jesus was mighty in deeds and word.
verse 27, Jesus point out to these two men that they were slow in heart to believe, it can be like that for us at time’s and others. but Jesus did not stop walking with then but verse 27 shows us the wonderful heart of love of our lord, he began at Moses and all the prophets he expounded unto them all the scripture the things concerning himself. wow what a heart of love to go on teaching them, it is very easy to give up on other’s, because they may be slow to believe but following the example of our wonderful Lord Jesus we can be patient and open this word of God to others so they can fully understand and know the truth that sets them free.
we also know that faith (believing) comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Verse 29 -31, The two men constrained this stranger to abide with them and he did, and when they sat down to eat Jesus took bread and blessed it and brake and gave it to them
Verse 31 says and their eyes were opened and they knew him; and he vanished out of thier sight, man this record moves me to tears what a beautiful account can you imagine if you were one of these men, how you would feel,
Verse 32 says the said one to another. Did not our hearts burn
The word burn here is the Greek word kaiō which means to set on fire, consume: burn, light. These men’s hearts were on fire with the light of the word of God burning in their hearts, so it so important that we go to this wonderful word of God, consume it, eat it and let it become the joy and rejoicing of our hearts.
There are many other scripture we could look at but we will look at a few verses more here in Psalms 119.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psalms 119:15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
Psalms 119:16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
Psalms 119:34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
Psalms 119:47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
Psalms 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
Psalms 119:77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.
Psalms 119:98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
Psalms 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
Psalms 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalms 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
So this is the first Vital sign of a believer to read and study the word the word of God, we can see the beauty and power, strength the light and life in this wonderful word of God. This word of God is lamp unto our feet and light unto our path, This word brings light faith direction, Let the Word of God become the joy and rejoicing of your heart, read with joy, ask God to open His word to you, this word will make you wiser than your enemies. For further studying to see the importance of reading and studying the word of God, I recommend you listen to the Introduction of my foundational class Video How to build Gods word in our lives the video is below

How to Honour God with Your Finances

Practical advise for young believers starting out their walk with God as well as old believers.

Studying what Proverbs says about giving money. Believe it or not, trusting in God will actually improve your money management.  When you’re not so concerned about wealth, you can treat it rightly.  If it’s not your hope and security, you can use it as a tool.  You can afford to lose it.  You can risk giving it away or sharing it with others.  You can put it to work to gain more so you can give more.  Here are some ways you can serve God and love others with your money.

  1. Make a budget.(See Prov 27:23-27.)  In a time of sanity and thoughtfulness, plan out how you think God would want you to use your money.  A budget helps set bounds on greed by defining reasonable guidelines for spending.
  2. Get counsel on your budget.(See Prov 15:22.)  Find a wise person whom you trust.  Ask him or her to look at your plan and give you fresh insight on the wisdom of it.  Few sins are as blinding as greed (Matt 6:19-23), so an unbiased set of eyes can help reflect reality.
  3. Track your budget.Your plan does you no good unless you daily keep track of whether you’re following it or not.  Keep all your receipts.  Develop a system for recording them and measuring whether your spending is within the bounds of your plan.
  4. Consider setting a minimum percentage of your income for giving. That way, as your income increases, your giving will increase as well.  As income increases, it’s likely you can also increase the percentage you give away.
  5. Save for your children.(See Prov 13:22.)  Even if you don’t have any yet, it can help you take your eyes off yourself if you set aside money designated for future generations.
  6. Save to give. You can’t predict the future, so you won’t be able to anticipate many needs.  Consider regularly setting money aside with the intention of giving it away as God brings unforeseen needs to your attention.
  7. Give faithfully and regularly with Joy (cheerful heart)

Go boldly to God, pour out your heart and thoughts to Him give Him your cares and problems God will do for you He is waiting for you to act by you going to Him.

Psalms 138:3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with
strength in my soul.

Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved.

Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a
refuge for us. Selah.

Psalms 9-10 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not
forsaken them that seek thee.

Matthews 11:28 -30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye
shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; (dont worry) but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace
of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Hebrews 4:14-16Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

14 Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascendedand passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].
15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand andsympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities andliability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

Bless You

Laurence

We have a confident assurance in Our God – By Laurence Torr

We have a confident Assurance

grace love and truth logo

We have a confident assurance in Our God.

God Morning to You, and my God free your hearts from any burdens and cares of this world. Everything you do, do unto God and not unto men. For God is faithful, He is with you in every situation and every circumstance and in every condition. Men might fail you and forsake and turn away from you and they have and they do in my own experience But one thing is for sure it is that God is with you and watches over you so travel light knowing that your labour with God is not in vain keep moving strongly in Him.

Hebrews 6:10-20Amplified Bible (AMP)

10 For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown for His name in ministering to [the needs of] the saints (God’s people), as you do.

11 And we desire for each one of you to show the same diligence [all the way through] so as to realize and enjoy the full assurance of hope until the end,

12 so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.

13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, He swore [an oath] by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear,

14 saying, “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.”

15 And so, having patiently waited, he realized the promise [in the miraculous birth of Isaac, as a pledge of what was to come from God].

16 Indeed men swear [an oath] by [a]one greater than themselves, and with them [in all disputes] the oath serves as confirmation [of what has been said] and is an end of the dispute.

17 In the same way God, in His desire to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable nature of His purpose, intervened and guaranteed it with an oath,

18 so that by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge would have strong encouragement and indwelling strength to hold tightly to the hope set before us.

19 This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells],

20 where Jesus has entered [in advance] as a forerunner for us, having become a High Priest forever according to the order of [b]Melchizedek.

Now Is the Time to put into Action what you have Learned – By Laurence Torr

Now Is the Time to put into Action what you have Learned!!!

grace love and truth logo

God morning to You!, and may you remember who you truly are in Christ, Remember you have been brought with price, You are a new creation in Christ, old things have past away, behold all things are become new.

It is Christ in you the hope of Glory, Now is the time to shine as the lights of this world because that is what you are Lights. when you hold forth the Word.

We live in a crooked world which is full of darkness, fear, and dread no direction no hope no peace. We need to to see the need and know the times we are living in today is the day of salvation.

I was Speaking the word of God, to someone this morning which thrilled my heart to see the joy and peace come to them, they were moved and touched by God, because I decided to open my mouth and declare the good news to him, as God prompted me.

There are many souls to be saved and that comes by us walking by the spirit of God and being willing to open our mouths. Time to become hard core witnesses.

Let the Christ in you Shine, and you do this by proclaiming the word. to reconcile man back to God. Lets not get to comfortable with church activities,
classes, and baking cakes, these things have their place But God’s word being preach has priority ……… lets get busy speaking the word.

Kim and I have daily open doors to minister to people hearts and we are walking through those doors, which are daily all over Bristol,

we wont past an opportunity to share the love and grace of God, how can we walk past the people in need spiritually, when we have been saved by God’s amazing grace? We want others to know, and we are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto wholeness, unto life and freedom and eternal life to those that a perishing.

There is an urgency, to be the witnesses God calls us to be, we need to be doers we have had enough teachings and bible classes to last 7 or 8 life times, what are we doing with what we know and understand?

You are not spiritual because you can understand the whole bible, you are spiritual if you live what you know and preach.

Time is fast running out, lets redeem the times because the days are evil
it is time to move like the first century church moved, they did not play church they were the church out in action, turning the world up side down and God is working in you, and wants you to stand up and move to be the Living epistles know and read of all men, this was urgent in my heart to exhort and encourage

Let those who have ears listen and do

God bless You!!!!!!!!!

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Timothy 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Seeking things which are above – By Laurence Torr

Seeking things above

grace love and truth logo

God morning to you and may God bless you and encourage to seek those things which are above and not on the things of this earth, Why? what does the Scripture says?

2 Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

The things of this world are temporal, that means it is not going to last, God would have us set our minds and heart on His things which are eternal, we decide where we are going to set our thoughts and affections which determined Our actions and attitudes and the direction our life will take.

Lets be diligent, in preparing our hearts to keep God the first love of our lives, seek His face, His ways, His thoughts, His Direction. Let God direct your heart as you put His truths on in your heart.

Here are a few Scriptures that blessed me so I share them with you for you to consider. Remember what we sow we reap and it starts with our hearts our thoughts.

Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

1 Chronicles 22:19 Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.

Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Have a blessed Day,
