Attitude of Believing and Expectation

When something does not go the way we expect, sometimes we make the mistake of telling ourselves, “It’s not fair. It’s not right. When that changes, when it improves, then I’ll have a better attitude.” No, we have to make the first move. You do your part and God will do His part. stop worrying about God changing another person, and allow God to change you first.
Are you letting something overwhelm you? I encourage you to get up every morning and make this confession, “God, I want to thank You that I can handle anything that comes my way today. I can handle difficult situations. I can handle getting stuck in traffic. I can handle my plans not working out. Father, thank You that I know who I am in Christ I thank you that I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I thank you that you are for me and not against me. I thank you I am in right standing with you, and I am brought with a price, that greater is he that is in me then He that is in this world.
Prepare your heart and mind that you are going to stay in an attitude of Believing and great expectation remember you are clothed in righteousness You have God’s Grace mercy, to help in the time of need have heart and attitude of humility, gentleness and patience. Choose God’s ways and let Him order your steps all the days of your life.

Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Romans 6:14  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

The Bridge Builder

The Bridge Builder – By Will Allen Dromgoole (1860 – 1934)

An old man, going a lone highway,
Came at the evening cold and gray
To a chasm vast and deep and wide
Through which was flowing a swollen tide.
The old man crossed in the twilight dim;
The rapids held no fears for him.
But he turned when safe on the other side
And built a bridge to span the tide.

“Old man,” cried a fellow pilgrim near,
“You’re wasting your time in building here.
Your journey will end with the closing day;
You never again will pass this way.
You have crossed the chasm deep and wide;
Why build you this bridge at even-tide?”

The builder lifted his old gray head.
“Good friend, in the path I have come,” he said,
“There follows after me today
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
This stream, which has been as naught to me,
To that fair youth may a pitfall be.
He too must cross in the twilight dim —
Good friend, I am building this bridge for him.”

You are a Victor Not a Victim

When you realize who you are, you won’t go around intimidated and insecure, thinking, “I’m lacking. I’m not that talented. I come from the wrong family.” No, you come from the right family. Your Father created it all. When you know who you are, it changes your thinking from, “I’m unlucky. I never get any good breaks” to “I have the favor of God. Blessings are chasing me down.” When you know who you are, you’ll start thinking like a winner, talking like a winner, carrying yourself like a winner, and soon, you’ll start living like a winner, too! Remember, you have the DNA of God, and that’s enough to overcome every obstacle. Your are a victor not a victim

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Trust God He is Faithful

You don’t have to worry about the people who are trying to hold you back. God knows how to move the wrong people out of your life and bring the right people in. He knows how to get you to where you’re supposed to be. Trust Him; and trust His timing.

Psalm 37:23-31
King James Version (KJV)
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

Keep Pursuing your Dreams never Give Up.

“The mightiest works have been accomplished by men and women who kept their ability to dream great dreams”. (Walter Bowie)

If your a music lover, you are probably familiar with the sounds of classical guitar

What you might not know is that early in the twentieth century that style of music was largely developed by one individual.

His name was Andres Segovia. Born in southern Spain, Segovia began playing guitar as a small child. In those days the guitar

was seen as little more than a folk instrument.  It was not respected by serious composers and musicians the way orchestral

instruments were. But Segovia saw great potential in the guitar for classical music.

Segovia began studying the techniques of classical musicians who played stringed instruments such as the violin and cello.

He applied those techniques to his playing and developed other methods on his own.

He adapted classical compositions of masters such as Bach and learned to play them on his instrument.

In 1909, Segovia made his classical debut at the age of sixteen. In 1919, he toured the world and won

over the classical establishment. Soon, for the first time, composers were writing classical music for the guitar, and a

whole new kind of music was born for the concert hall.

Over the course of nearly eight decades, Segovia completely changed  people’s perceptions of his instrument.

But like many big dreams that become realized, Segovia’s dream made an impact far beyond what he imagined.

It could be argued that his efforts opened the door for the guitar, not only to the concert hall, but also to the jazz band.

That in turn led to the electrically amplified guitar and rock music. If you’ve enjoyed the music of Les Paul or Chuck berry or the Beatles

or any other of today’s modern groups, then thank Andres Segovia. If it was not for him and his dream, the music of the twentieth century

would have gone in an entirely different direction.

When people discover their dreams and commit to them, there is no telling what kind of impact they will make.

Set Your Course Daily – By Laurence Torr

If you are getting the same results in life it is because you are applying the same things. Change what you are doing on a daily basis and you will change the results. We cannot change the direction of the wind, but we can control our sail. Don’t let your circumstance’s set the course of your day, nor your feelings, But allow God to work in you, and let Him lead you by his spirit. The decisions you make today will impact your tomorrow.

Romans 8:14
King James Version (KJV)

Philippians 2:13
King James Version (KJV)
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
