Thoughts for the weekend – Grace and Faith – By Laurence Torr
God has blessed us with all spiritually blessings, God has spoken His blessings into your life, He is for you not against you, when we do what God is showing us to do, this gives birth to those blessings becoming manifested in our lives, and the blessings give birth to us having success with God and for God.
Grace is received by Faith not by our own works, everything that is available to the believer today is received by faith that it might be by grace to praise of God. We see in Ephesians 1:3 that God hath blessed us, past tensed. It is done deal with God.
Grace has nothing to do with us earning anything for Him our faith is a positive response to what God has already provide to us by Grace, so we are to respond to God as He is leading and guiding and do what he is showing you to do. Grace and faith go hand in hand. Grace is what God has done and faith is what we do. Grace is God’s unmerited divine favor. He is doing the work and we respond to Him in faith.
We did not work for our salvation but we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and were saved, no effort on our part, and we receive from God, by faith and simply doing what He shows us to do.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings (eulogia) in heavenly places in Christ:
Ephesians 2:8 – 9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 416Â Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 11:6Â And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Romans 3:20-24Â 20Â Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21Â But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22Â Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23Â For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24Â Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
 Titus 3: 4-7  4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5Â Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6Â Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7Â That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
