Thoughts for Today – When God does the work – By Laurence Torr
God has truly blessed us, with all spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus, and has seated us at his own right hand in the heavenly’s. Now we are the sons of God with power and authority with direct access to God.
We now have newness of life, (Romans 6:4) and can serve in newness of spirit, (Romans 7:6) we serve God from our spirit. (Romans 1:9) God is continually at work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13)
Now being heirs of God and joint heir with Christ, (Romans 8:17) we can live above this world, and reign in this life by one Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17) When we set our affection on things above and not the things of this world, we can fully walk in that new man. It is now Christ in you the hope of Glory
When we turn to God will all our heart and be willing to do what God is showing us to do, then God, will open many new doors for us, and as, we pray for the labourer’s then God will send them. God’s desire is that all men might be saved and come unto a knowledge of the truth, this is also our desire when praying for the laborers. God does not want any to perish.
It is our faith and confidence and trust in God, that allows God to go to work on our behalf, it is not by our might or power but by the spirit of living God, it is not by our knowledge or wisdom that God’s word will move all over the world. (1 Corinthians 2:4) It is by being led by the spirit of God, and doing those things that pleases Him, not seeking our own will or way or being pleasing to men. but obedient unto God and speaking forth the words God gives to us to speak forth.
When anything is of faith then it by grace, grace is that God does the work for us.
When we drop and stop doing things the way we think they should be done then believe me, God goes to work, see it is God that does the work, and we are do what He shows us to do, it is that simple. The Just shall live by Faith.
Making programs and having our own agenda will not produce Godly results. Believe me I know.
God is the one that initiates or gives us the work for us to do, Moses did not decide I will bring the children of Israel out of Egypt, Abraham, didn’t decide OK now Sarah will have a baby and I will be Father of many Nations, Paul did not decide I will become born again, and stop persecuting the church, but God initiates the work for us to do, and all we do is respond, and allow God to lead us and do those things He gives us to do.
God has much work for you, those works that He has before ordained that you should walk in. When we decide to cease from our own works, then God can go to work, and open doors that you and I could not open from our own efforts. these works God gives us to do produces great fruit, really it is effortless on our part.
As we remember what our wonderful Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ went through His sufferings, His death, burial and resurrection and that God raised Him from the dead, we can see that Jesus was obedient to do all that the Father gave Him to do,
Jesus was led by the spirit of God he was always at the right place at the right time with the right words to speak forth to bring healing and deliverance and direction and wholeness. Jesus reconciled men and women back to God, giving us a great example to follow, so we now can connect people back to God, and not to us but to direct people to God. Jesus also fulfilled many prophecies He was always at the right place at the right time doing the will of the Father from his heart. He could not have fulfilled all these prophecies and been at the right place at the right time in his own ability. (Luke 4:18 – Matthew 4:1) Now we to have received the spirit of God, so we too can be led by God, and be at the right place at the right time, right on with God.
God put in my heart, for the people that Joined us on our skype fellowship to get together face to face, the place God put into my heart was France, when I mentioned this a believer from France happened to join the skype fellowship that night his first time on that skype fellowship, I did not mention to anyone where we should meet or what God had placed in my heart but that we should get together face to face but when I mentioned to everyone it would be good for us all to get together everyone was excited and then the believer from France say can we do it in France, then I knew this was from God, and now today as I write this we leave for France, and many believers from around the world will meet and together, See it is as we do what God is working in our hearts to do, those desires and thoughts that come to your mind, and grow in desire.
I did not have to arrange the meeting, or prepare anything as God had it already in place by working in people hearts, God provided everything from the meeting place, and the place to sleep the people who would attend, the person who would host the meeting, the provision for people to travel to be there. It was effortless from my part, as it was God plan not mine.
So l encourage you allow God to go to work, let Him open the doors, our work is to go to God, and put our desire before Him, and allow Him to open the doors, for us to give you the connections, the laborers the provision, Be led by God not by men or organisations then all the glory goes to God and not to us, but we will can rejoice knowing that God is mightily at work each person. These were some things in my heart to encourage you with.
So today we leave for France for a wonderful time together with the believers from France, Norway, USA, Portugal, Columbia, Spain, and UK. This going to be amazing time of encouragement and fellowship, vision building and direction I am so excited at what God is working in the hearts of all His believing people.So this week No Skype Fellowship –
The Next Skype Fellowship will be Thursday April the 25th 8PM which happens to be my Birthday lol, have a wonderful Easter everyone remember what God has done through Jesus Christ, and the amazing life we can now live because of Him.
