My thoughts for today. Sunday 15th January 2017
Many People including believers by other believers are rejected because of their weaknesses and mistakes but God will never reject you because of your weaknesses or mistake, God loves you in spite of not because of. Our acceptance from God, is not based upon our performance, or what we know or understand, or how many people we have witness too, or how many people we have raised from the dead.
God loves you as you are warts and all. People may love you based on your performance and reject you when you don’t do what they want you to do, or live up to their expectations, is that the love? ….. NO. In Romans 12:9-10 gives us a guide line on how we should treat one another as believers.
Romans 12:9 Let love (agape – The Love of God “coming from the believer”) be without dissimulation (hypocrisy – “two faced”). Abhor- (detest) that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned (philostorgos – fraternal towards fellow Christians “like in a family) one to another with brotherly love;- ( philadelphia – love of the brethren. “Family love – we are spiritual family) in honour preferring one another;
The Agape love -which is the love of God living in our hearts in action, builds others, encourages others, forgives others, help others, reaches out to others, lifts others out of their hurt and dirt, the love of God living in a believer reconciles others not only to God, but also to themselves. The Love of God living in believers unites them, it does not divide them.
If God was looking for perfect people, he would not of chosen you, if God was looking for someone really smart he would of not chosen you. God chose the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, (1 Corinthians 1:27) and now after receiving Christ we are perfect in the spirit, and being change from glory to glory. As we live and practise the love of God in our lives, it brings glory to God. If you’re feeling rejected by other believers you’re in the wrong fellowship. Well lets be those examples of believers that truly live the love of God in our lives showing it forth in our fellowship with God and one another.
