Maths in the Bible?
Growing up, I never took an interest in Maths as subject at school. It was just numbers to me I use to think Division, Addition, multiplication so what, it is just numbers to me. But as I began to learn about the growth and outreach of God’s word, and from reading the book of Acts I started to see that now Maths is an important subject to God and to know about, especially multiplication. I think many believers have experience division, and addition but how about multiplication? We see all three of these words at work in the book of Acts and the church Epistles.
Here is Addition
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Acts 5:14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
Acts 11:24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
Acts_14:4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
Acts 23:7 And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.
1Corinthians 1:13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
2Timothy 1:15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
Here is Multiplication
Acts 6:1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
Acts 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Acts 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Acts 12:24 But the word of God grew and multiplied.
So we can see maths in the bible we can see division, addition and multiplication. We can see God likes to add and multiply. But He does not like division.
Have a great week Laur x
