Words Are Spiritual – By Carl Morten Hellwig

In the beginning – before creation took place – all things were spiritual. Spiritual life.

Nothing was physical, nothing was materialized.

It was only God. God and His word. One cannot separate God from His word.

God is spiritual. The word was with God. And the word – these words – are also spiritual.

How does spiritual things become physical? By God speaking these spiritual words. Thus, things were manifested into the world. God spoke words, and they were. (Genesis 1:) Each after his kind.

The same thing takes place today. God has given us ALL spiritual blessings. The word ‘blessing’ = gr. ulogia (u = good / logia = words) = good words.

He gives it to us by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4: 4) We live by all these words that go out of the mouth of God and flow into us. We receive these ‘good words’ to the extent we want to receive them. This is an important point. To the extent we want, and the doors of our hearts are open and our will is ready to receive.

Jesus had his will ready for this. He had the spirit of God upon him, and he had also the genetically perfect starting point. Yet, by his own will, he had to choose to live in harmony with all the words from God given to him. (Luke 22:42) He decided to receive the word of God. He allowed the word of God to fill him.

Jesus was a man approved of God to do the things God had set before him. (Acts 2:22) Jesus allowed the good words of God to flow to him, necessary to materialize things physically.

The same is the situation for us. We are ordained by God unto good works. (Ephesians 2: 8-10)

God wants the good words to materialize in the physical world, not remain spiritual. In order to materialize spiritual things into the senses world, God spoke. We do the same. God gives us the good words. He gives us good understanding, good mental perception, good guidance. It is the work of God we do. It is not my own deeds.

My task is to keep the door of my heart open and to have a will ready to receive. Not 50% open, but 100% open. Why? Because there is a benefit associated with manifesting the spiritual things. My part of the task is simple. I myself must keep the door of my heart open to receive God’s good word, God’s good ideas and perspective.

God wants to give us words that are spiritual and are energetic. For the word of God is quick and powerful… (Heb 4:12). It gives us power, living energy. So, we want to listen to the word of God. It is important for us to have the will to listen to the words that God gives us. This opens the flow of words from God to us. The more our thoughts will reflect the thoughts of God. Our desires coincide with God’s desires. Our thoughts become good and acceptable and perfect. (Rom 12: 2) Next action; what do I do? My work is to believe in him whom God has sent (John 6:29). We are doers of the word, and not hearers only. (James 1:22).
We have access to God through the spirit. As we walk in the Spirit, we proclaim the righteousness of God. We go to God and ask for things and are blessed by what God gives us. We ask God because we believe we will receive. Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Romans 10:17). God always helps us further. God gives us understanding so we can understand more, reach out further. God told Abram to look at the stars to understand the promise he was given. It is God’s task to build us up, to build our faith. I do not build my own faith. Faith comes. By hearing the word of God. I must want to hear. Then I act on that voice. God guides me to do something, I am the hearer of the word and the doer. Thereby I act. Thereby it is materialized. As I act this way, I materialize the things in my life that God has made available and that He wants materialized into the physical world. In my physical life. We are elevated above the problems of the world. We are part of the body of Christ. Christ is the head. He did not speak words of himself, but words that the Father commanded him to say. (John 12:49)The words Jesus speaks are spiritual and are life. Our love for him is confirmed by our keeping of his word. (John 14:23)
That we think his word. Make his words and thoughts our own words and thoughts (Phil 2: 5).
That we bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor.10: 5).  In the beginning. Everything was spiritual, nothing physical existed. Then God said. He spoke good words, and it was so. Good physical things. It was good. It was very good (Genesis 1:31). Everything He spoke became like this. Because He spoke good words. Spiritual words. And to materialize – He spoke.
Every day God speaks to us, and it is up to each of us whether we want to listen. And act.
