Written Article – Thoughts for today – Being at the right place at the right time
Read 1 Kings 17:2 – 16 (below)
God told Elijah exactly where to go because God was going to meet the needs of Elijah where God wanted him go. Because Elijah was obedient to the voice of God, Elijah was blessed with his needs met. After some time, God told Elijah to move from the place he was at, to another location. The resources for Elijah’s need to be met had dried up, where He was, So God showed Elijah to move from where He was because God was now going to meet his needs at a new place and from a different source.
Elijah had to do two things here he had to trust Gods word to him and then he had to be obedient to do what God was telling him to do. When we trust God, and step out believing what God is showing us, all our needs are met and not only that the needs of others will be met, then we can be a blessing to others, because we are right where God wants us to be. Have a read of this wonderful record.
What we see is that 1. We need to be obedient to where God shows us to go and what He is encouraging us to do. 2 We need move with full confidants in what God wants us to do. 3 then our needs are met and then we can be a blessing to others. We can easily be comfortable with where we are, if things are drying up, then ask God are you in the right place where He wants you. God Shows us Deuteronomy 28 that if we listen to and obey the voice to observe and do then He will set us on high in our living, His blessing with chase you down and overtake you, Romans 8:14 shows us today that we are to be led by the spirit of God. The sons and daughters of God today are to be led by the spirit of God doing what God puts into your, and to be bold to speak forth what He wants you to speak, if we are focusing on our need, we can quite easily miss what God is showing us to do, we also can get comfortable where we are but God wants you to have a great expectation He wants you fruitful and blessed. If you keep getting the same negative results then be still aloud God to show you what He wants you to do and where He wants you to be, when we become humble and meek to what the living God is speaking into our life and do what He shows us to do and go where He leading we will be very blessed, we will be fruitful, we will be blessing to those around us. God is encouraging you today, to arise and go and do what He is putting into your hearts to do, other may say you can not do this or do that, your circumstance may say you can not do this or do that. But God say you can do all thing through Christ which Strengthens you, God is working in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Have a great day walking and being led by the spirit of God. Xx
1 Kings 17:2-16 2 And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,
3 Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
4 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
5 So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
7 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
8 And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,
9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
12 And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
14 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.
15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
9 The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
