Thoughts for Today – Being Thankful

Thoughts for today – Being Thankful

One thing I have been practicing to do ever day when I wake up is to be thankful, life is a gift and every day we really have so much to be thankful to God for. When you wake up you have another shot at life, another opportunity to be a blessing to your family and the people you come in contact. It so easy to wake up and think on the things you don’t have and the things you need, it is easy to focus on your lack and the wrong things in your life.

Being thankful helps keeps your mind focused on the right things, not the wrong things; and things that you do have rather than the you do not have, being thankful helps give you an expectation for the day. The word of God is filled with encouragement on being thankful and giving thanks unto God, and really if you’re honest we all have so much to be thankful for.

You woke up this morning for a start, you have a roof over your head, you have food in cupboard, if your reading this then you have a computer or phone or tablet to read this. Instead of focusing on what you do not have, start being thankful for what you do have.

As believers we have so much to be thankful to God for, remember that God is with us and for us. Below are some scriptures on being thankful. Remember to practice to start your day off with being thankful, set yourself up for a successful day every day.
