Faith Killers are these, Fear, Worry, Doubt,  a doubled mind, a Bad Attitude, Uncertainty, a weak prayer life, love for the things of this world, lack and on and on I could go, but what builds our faith when we are down? and how do we maintain our faith when we are faced with difficulties?

Here is What God says from the Scriptures.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Read your Bible out loud, or sit and listen to a teaching of the Word of God, Faith comes when we set our hearts to receive Gods word by hearing it and saying it out of our own mouths. The word of God builds faith so you can be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Philippians 4:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.

Take what your are anxious and worried about to God talk to Him give Him all your problems ask Him to help you But go to God with thanks giving that He knows the answers and will bring you out on top of your problems.

1 Peter 5:6-7Amplified Bible (AMP)

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

So the Key thing when we go to God is to be humble and as we have this heart and attitude towards God,  He will lift you up and out of your problems at the right time in the mean time we keep positive and thankful knowing that our answers and releases are coming.

The Apostle Paul and Silas got in to some trouble and were attacked and beaten and thrown into the Prison for preaching the Word, these Guys took a stand for God and they got into this major problem where it looked like it was the end for them, how did they respond to this bad situation? let see

Acts 16:22  22 The crowd also joined in the attack against them, and the chief magistrates tore their robes off them and ordered that Paul and Silas be beaten with rods. 23 After striking them many times [with the rods], they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to guard them securely.24 He, having received such a [strict] command, threw them into the inner prison (dungeon) and fastened their feet in the stocks [in an agonizing position].

25 But about midnight when Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them;26 suddenly there was a great earthquake, so [powerful] that the very foundations of the prison were shaken and at once all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened. 27 When the jailer, shaken out of sleep, saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, thinking that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, saying, “Do not hurt yourself, we are all here!” 29 Then the jailer called for torches and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 and after he brought them out [of the inner prison], he said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31 And they answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus [as your personal Savior and entrust yourself to Him] and you will be saved, you and your household [if they also believe].” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord [concerning eternal salvation through faith in Christ] to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their bloody wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household34 Then he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, since he had believed in God with his entire family [accepting with joy what had been made known to them about the Christ].

So we can see here they praise God and God set them free and not only that but they preached to the jailor and He got saved and His whole house.

Peter also found himself in a similar situation in the prison, but this time other believers prayed for Him here is the record of what happened

Acts12: 1- 17 Now at that time [a]Herod [Agrippa I] the king [of the Jews] arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to harm them. And he had James the brother of John put to death with a sword; and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to have Peter arrested as well. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread [the Passover week].When he had seized Peter, he put him in prison, turning him over to four squads of soldiers of four each to guard him [in rotation throughout the night], planning after the Passover to bring him out before the people [for execution]. So Peter was kept in prison, but fervent andpersistent prayer for him was being made to God by the church.

The very night before Herod was to bring him forward, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries were in front of the door guarding the prison. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared [beside him] and a light shone in the cell. The angel struck Peter’s side and awakened him, saying, “Get up quickly!” And the chains fell off his hands. The angel said to him, “Prepare yourself and strap on your sandals [to get ready for whatever may happen].” And he did so. Then the angel told him, “Put on your robe and follow me.” And Peter went out following the angel. He did not realize that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they had passed the first guard and the second, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city. Of its own accord it swung open for them; and they went out and went along one street, and at once the angel left him. 11 When Peter came to his senses, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel and has rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting [to do to me].” 12 When he realized what had happened, he went to the house of[b]Mary the mother of John, who was also called [c]Mark, where many [believers] were gathered together and were praying continually [and had been praying all night]. 13 When he knocked at the door of the gateway, a servant-girl named Rhoda came to answer. 14 Recognizing Peter’s voice, in her joy she failed to open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gateway. 15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind!” But she kept insisting that it was so. They kept saying, “It is his angel!” 16 But [meanwhile] Peter continued knocking; and when they opened the door and saw him, they were completely amazed. 17 But motioning to them with his hand to be quietand listen, he described how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, “Report these things to [d]James and the brothers and sisters.” Then he left and went to another place.

So we see the power of prayer and praises and the prayers of other believers for us on our behalf. God can go to work when we have faith and when we go to Him and trust Him to come through for us.

Have a great day, defeating the faith killers and set your heart towards God at all times and in every situation. Your answers will come and you will be release from whatever type of prison is trying to hold you.  Bless You Laur x
