A joint heir is one that shares fully in the inheritance. We are Heirs of God, and we are joint heir with Christ and we share fully with all that Jesus Christ has inherited from God the Father. Everything that Jesus Christ has received from the Father, we also have received. As Jesus Christ, is right now, so are we in this world.
