Prosperity Without God is Not True Prosperity By Laurence Torr My Thoughts  About Prosperity and What the Scriptures Say.
It is truly available for everyone to prosper, if you want to prosper in every area of your life for a believer we first have to prosper in our hearts, (3John 2)that we are rich in the knowledge and wisdom of God’s word. For a believer, true prosperity begins in the heart and becomes a part of who we are to the point Gods word is living and real for us in our action and speech. True riches is to be rich in your fellowship with God and His Son Jesus Christ and with those of the same Heart This where our Joy is fulfilled, 1John 1:3-4
There are many people in this world that do not believe in God and are financially prosperous, They may have come from poor background and wanted a better life like everyone wants and were determine to make it in this world. A lot of people made it and found success and lot of them made it only to lose what they had made, some are born in to wealthy and rich families and follow on in the family business and some become rich through an inheritance left to them.
The world uses many motivation teachers and speakers and apply the positive attitudes and speaking method, and a go get attitude and these motivational speakers use Godly principles without God. God is not first in their mindset.  The Image they build for people is to see themselves prosperous, to speak positively, to be active and intentional, all the things but without God.
There are some that follow and do what they have been encouraged by the worldly motivator and become successful or improve their lives in one way or another. But what is the end results for them if God is not in their lives.
The True prosperity which has a lasting value in this world and the one to come is when a person has God the first love of their lives, they are prosperous with an abundance of the wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of God’s word built into and imprinted on their hearts, overflowing into their living and speech. A believer with the right heart and mind set, does not labour to be rich in this world, but are rich in the word and spirit, full of good works, and their heart and life  are devoted to God first.
When a believer is chasing after God, seeking Gods heart first and His Kingdom and His wisdom and listens to the voice of God so He can do what God is showing, then the blessings of God will chase him down and overtake him, they will be blessed when they lay down, when they rise up, when they come in and when they go out, they will be blessed in the field, blessed in the city, blessed in the bank, and in there store houses, their savings, they will be blessed in the fruit of their bodies their enemies will flee from them, they will become the head and not the tail they will blessed so they can be a blessing, The blessing of the Lord makes rich and He adds no sorrow with it. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and Proverbs 10:22
Many of the rich people in this world without God are not happy, they may have the nice and finer things in life, that may take their minds of their problems temporary, But the true wealth is the peace of God in your heart, having a direction in this life and hope of the gathering together where we will spend eternity with God and Lord Jesus Christ.
The things in this world are temporal and riches in this world are uncertain
2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

The Apostle Paul encourages Timothy to Charge  those that were Rich in this world.  lets us read this record.
1 Timothy 6:17-19 Charge them that are rich (having an abundance of external riches)  in this world, that they be not high minded, (arrogant)  nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; (free in giving, liberal)
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Now let us go back and read 1 Timothy 6 starting from 6 -19
1 Timothy 6:6-19  But godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
The true prosperity is having God the first love in our lives, being thankful and content with the things that we have, if we have an abundance then we should be willing to share and help others, and doing good works showing our faith and love. God has instructions for those that are rich in this world which is recorded here in 1 Timothy so that those that are rich, keep the right heart and thier perspective right in this life and their hearts clean.
There is absolutely nothing wrong in being rich in this world, when our hearts are in the right place and that God is first, and the wisdom of God is followed than we can truly be prosperous in every area of living.
Psalms 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Psalms 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
I can remember someone saying once there are two types of rich people in this world, those that have loads of  money and those that have no need.
Money cannot make you whole spiritually, mentally or physically, yes you can pay a Psychiatrist, they may help little, yes you can pay hospitals they can help you temporary, you can even pay to go and see a spiritualist, but it is the wrong spiritual advise your getting with bad consequences the resulting outcome.
But God has meet every need for those that will believe Him and His word to them. Every need is meet spiritually, mentally and physically, when we were born again we were made whole in every department, what you need God can and will meet it when you go to Him, and it does not cost you a penny, because God has freely given us all thing to richly enjoy, He has given us His love His peace, His direction, His Knowledge, His wisdom, His understanding and  His insight into life and living, God is the one also that gives us power to get wealth and that is through the wisdom of His word to us.  We have the gift of eternal life, we are filled with His spirit, we have authority over sickness and all manner of diseases, we have an abundant of Gods resources that never run out or dry.
Prosperity starts in the heart and then becomes manifest as we live our lives unto God applying His spiritual laws, wisdom and principles, as we build our hearts and confess God words, and we keep our eyes fixed on Him and The Lord Jesus Christ.
To Finish this article, I will leave you some more scriptures to meditation on  Showing That when God is First and when our hearts are for Him above all else than God truly blesses our live in every area abundantly God will prosper You.

1 Kings 3:1-14  And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh’s daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the Lord, and the wall of Jerusalem round about.
Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house built unto the name of the Lord, until those days.
And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.
In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.
