How to exercise our spiritual authority
Proverbs 18:20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Authority is exercised through our spoken word. The power of death and life are in the spoken word The centurion In Matthew 8 understood this principle
Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Matthew 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
When we use our authority in Christ, we are not asking or begging we are to command we are not using our authority, but the authority as sons of the living God with Christ in Us we command in the name of Jesus Christ. When we understand who we are in Christ and what we have in Christ and we believe it then when we command it is done. The centurion understood how authority works and He and Jesus marvelled at this man Faith. The Centurion, believe without a shadow of doubt and it was done.
We as believers need to exercise our Authority, with believing know that Authority has been given to us for us to use, but a lot of time we ask God to do something when it is our reasonability to use what He has give to us.
Jesus Christ exercised his God given authority here on earth setting the example for us to follow.
He cast out demons using His authority
And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him
He cast out demons with His spoken word
Matthew 8:16
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and
he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
He healed the sick with His spoken word
Luke 7:7
Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my
servant shall be healed.
Jesus has been given authority over everything:
Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
As we know when we are ministering healing or casting out devil spirit’s, it is the word we speak with believing then we see great result we see healing and deliverance take place this is using our Authority That we received when we became born again of God spirit and received Christ in us the hope of glory. Before we prayed at time we had some result but when we learnt to us our authority to command healing the name of Jesus Christ we see constant positive results when done with believing.
Now there is a time to pray and time to use our Authority and God will show you as He is working in you, Philippians 2:13. If you are being hindered use in an area or if you are being attack spiritually then use your authority by speaking Gods word and what God shows you to speak, you will see much results to the glory of God.
Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
How do you bind on earth? How do you loose on earth? It is through your words using words with believing, Authority is exercised when there is a RIGHT to exercise it.when come across a situation or a problem, we have a right to use our God given authority in the name of Jesus Christ.and we exercise our authority with the spoken word.
This why we need to watch what comes out of our mouths God the creator of heavens and earth used His word to speak this earth into existence God calls those things which are not as though they were, Jesus said who so ever shall say unto this mountain be removed and shall not doubt in his the thing which he say shall have what so ever he says. Jesus Spoke to the fig tree and it died back ward, Remember we are in spiritual battle and you can not win a spiritual battle with five sense means. We wrestle not against flesh ablood, but principalities which have already been defeated, Jesus Christ has the Keys to death and hell we are super conquerors for greater is he that is in you then he that is in this world, this is how we reign in life by one Jesus Christ, this is our how we pull down strong holds of the enemy.
