My Thoughts for today

October   14th 2014

Gods, grace and peace with joy to you, in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.

Having woken up a great while before the day today, I began to lift up my day to the Father. I asked God to inspire my heart with what He would have me share to encourage those I send my teachings or sharing’s through facebook, or on my blog or website.

After a while, the thoughts came to me about the word compromise, and I remember going back some years ago that someone said to me it is either black or white, when it comes to living for God or living for the devil,   So I considered this statement some more, and also went to the scriptures to see what God had to say.  If this statement is right, “it’s either black or white”   then to my mind anything else must be a comprise.  I believe this statement “it’s either black or white”   to be right and I want to look at a few records from the Scriptures to see this. We can see by what Gods words says.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

So we see here Our Lord Jesus Christ said You cannot serve God and mammon (riches) this word mammon  meaning is “wealth” or “riches” see also ( Luke 16:9-11 ); also, by personification, the god of riches ( Matthew 6:24 ; Luke 16:9-11 ). Websters Definition of MAMMON

: Material wealth or possessions especially as having a debasing influence  you cannot serve God and mammon — Matthew 6:24

We see this clearly in the book of Haggai I encourage you to read chapters one and two of Haggai, but we will look at Haggai 1:3-7

Haggai 1:3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

Haggai 1:4   Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste?

Haggai   1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Haggai 1:6  Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Haggai 1:7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

The believers here should have been building the temple but they were too busy building their own

Houses and making their own lives comfortable first. There Priority was wrong. God was not first.

There is nothing wrong with building your own house and having nice things, but God wants to be

first, and He will bless us with the nice things, as we take care of His business first, for a serious

believer will endeavour to keep God first knowing and trusting all will go well for them because God

is their number one priority.

Jeremiah 17:5   Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his

arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Jeremiah 17:6   For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but

shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

Jeremiah 17:7   Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Jeremiah 17:8  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the

river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be

Careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

The Father wants us to trust in Him, with everything we got, He want to be first in everything

Concerning our lives, we cannot trust in men or money or houses or cars these thing should not be a

First priority or thinsg we desire above keeping God first although we need these things, as we

Endeavour to keep God first trusting Him to supply our needs those Things that we need, will be

added to us.  ( Matthew 6:33)  God want you and me to rely on Him to supply these things, and He

Doesn’t want us to rely on our selves but trust in Him to supply.

So we can see there are two ways that God is showing, we are either trusting Him to supply, or

Trusting the things  in the senses realm whether that be men, money or our jobs..

See these things that we need can distract us from keeping God first.  At times we try and work out

how can God really come through for me, believers can really get tricked out by the things in this

World and instead of relying on God they rely on themselves to provide and end up discouraged from

Really moving with the things of God.

Let us look at this wonderful record

Jeremiah 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain

of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

God here address’s His people, not the unbelievers but His people. God said MY people have committed two evils. Strong words from God here The Father is pointing out the mistakes His people made and we can learn so much from this record.

Number 1 Gods people had forsaken God the fountain of living waters, Gods supply is constant and never ending, and Gods people forsook God who could meet every need they had in every area because they simply did not trust Him, they trusted themselves.

Number 2 they hewed out cisterns broken cisterns that could hold no water, God is giving us an example here painting a picture in our minds of a fountain that continues to supply water to cistern that can hold no water because the cistern is broke.  Strong words but true every time we rely on ourselves it is forsaking God and God says it is evil.

God wants us to totally rely upon Him in everything, we are either trusting God or we are not trusting God, it is either Black or white.

So how do we remedy this? We turn back to God and begin to Go to Him the source of all our supply we rely on trusting Him, For those that know the records in the scriptures from Old and New Testament we see that God is faithful when people put their trust in Him we see God is merciful when we turn back to Him when we have gone astray in our ways and doing things.

We are also in the age of Grace which is Gods unmerited divine favour to man, and where there is grace there is mercy, and where there is grace there is truth, and as we walk in these truths and keep God first, that grace and favour will be shining from our lives, as sons and daughters of the living God. So I encourage you today if you have been trusting in yourself to provide whether that is money or health or direction or answers then come back to the living and real God, let your requests be made know unto Him, allow God to go to work for you, He is with you and for you, don’t rely on anything or anyone, come back to the word of God. God will supply your answers also pray, ask Him to led you and guide you and provide for you.

So if you have lost direction or are wondering why things are not moving smoothly for you or you are not hearing from God, let me encourage you this day. Consider your ways, look at how you have been living and believing and what you have been trusting. This is how we get back to trusting God

Ponder the path of your feet

Proverbs 4:18   But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the

perfect day.

Proverbs 4:19   The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Proverbs 4:20   My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Proverbs 4:21   Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

Proverbs 4:22   For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Proverbs 4:23   Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Proverbs 4:24   Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

Proverbs 4:25   Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Proverbs 4:26  Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Proverbs 4:27   Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Verse 20 see, we attend to Gods words and pay attention to what God is saying and keep

Them, guard them, like a treasure, and do not let anything make you think the contrary

Why?  Because,  it is life unto you and health.  Guard your heart diligently with the words and

Sayings of God,  keep focus with them and do them. Ponder or consider the direction you are

taking, what path are you walking on right now. When you know your walking the right road

just stay on it.

Black or white, we are either hitting the mark or missing the mark when it comes to walking

with Go.  At times we will miss the mark but as we endeavour to keep God first we will be on

the mark more then we miss it. God has done everything for us, and we have responsibility

Before God to keep Him first and acknowledge Him in all our ways.   Let us not take Gods grace

as a licence to please ourselves but to live unto God to serve the body of Christ walking in the

love of God and being those ambassadors of God and Jesus Christ.

1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world,

the love of the Father is not in him.

1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride

of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God

abideth for ever.

1Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded,

nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all

things to enjoy;

2Corinthians 4:18   While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are

not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which

are not seen are eternal.

As we can see from these records in the Scriptures, God shows us not to love the things in this world but love the Father with all our hearts, souls, mind, and strength we do the will of the father from our hearts,  this world will pass away one day and the things in it but we will abide with the Father forever, He is our first love, and the one we want to serve and keep first. He is our Priority.

So for me it is either black or white we are either serving God or the world, and we decide who we are going to serve, we cannot have our feet in both camps for me I want to endeavour to love and serve God with my whole heart and life, yes at times we may miss the mark and at times we might fall, but praise God we can keep getting back up and moving forward perfecting our walk, our lives and service to God and man.

There is a song we sing in fellowship it starts off  like this.

There’s no two ways about it, when you labour for the Lord

His way is the only way none other can you afford

There’s are right road a wrong which way you heading toward

There no two ways about it when you labour for the Lord.

There are many other records to show us “it is either black or white” so to speak

Why not have a look through the scriptures and find them.

Have a read of Ecclesiastes Chapter 2 here you will read about King Solomon he was the richest King and full of wisdom he had all the wealth a man could ever want, and the wisdom to use it but look what he had to say about it in Ecclesiastes 2 about His wealth and wisdom. Let’s Keep God our first love and priority. Let us labour to be rich in good works keeping God number 1 priority and all the things you need, will be added unto you

Colossians 3:1   If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth

on the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:2   Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Much love

If we fall short like you said we IMMEDIATELY
